Officer Tazering Training Class
On July 26th, 2008 a tazer training session was conducted at the South Bloomfield Division of Police. One of the officers
attending this training, Officer Pete Scott volunteered to be video taped during his "tazering" and was so kind as to allow
us to post it on this page so everyone could see how much this tool allows officers to obtain control over combative suspects,
drunk and drugged suspects, and to show the tazer as an additional tool that can be used by law enforcement to protect
not only themselves, but the general public.
Not to mention it was fun to see his reaction.
If you would like to have a Tazer training held at your agency please contact our Tazer Instructor, Chief Ken McCoy at
kmccoy@southbloomfieldpolice.com
After you view the video please go to our visitor/guest page and let us know who you are, what agency you may be with,
and if you like the website........also if you can, wish good health to Officer Scott!

This photo was taken with the new addition to the South Bloomfield Division of Police, a 2007 Dodge Charger...Hemi powered.
It also speaks about the levels of safety and security within the country.
As our job is to help protect and serve our community, surrounding communities and the traveling public, so is the job
of the F22 Raptor pictured behind our cruiser. The F22 is the most terrifying fighter plane in the world, and was created
to protect the United States of America.
This photo shows the basic and extremes of safety, enforcement and protection.
Please assist us in our fundraising efforts by purchasing a
"South Bloomfield Police Dodge Charger and F22 Raptor T-Shirt".
These shirts are $16.00 and $4.00 s/h in which
all proceeds go to the purchase of a drug detection dog and all necessary equipment to establish a K9 Unit.

As the Village
of South Bloomfield continues to focus on growth, our agencies focus is on increasing safety and protection of our citizens,
and the people that travel through our Village everyday.
Unfortunately, not all the people that live in or travel through our Village are hardworking, trustworthy
and law abiding members of society.
As you can see
through the "Narcotic Arrests and Photos" Link to the left, our agency has seen a fair share of criminals attempting to traffic
narcotics by means of USR 23. The unfortunate part is the photos shown are some of the larger amounts of narcotics seized,
and not all the drugs that come off the streets.
In an effort to
have a pro-active effort on drug enforcement, our agency is in the process of raising funds to acquire a canine (K9) unit.
As the only available drug dogs are with the Pickaway County Sheriffs Office, a large opportunity to increase drug arrests
is limited.
Federal and State statistics will reflect that 80% of all criminal activity is related to drug activity.
This is why increased drug enforcement is a major area of concern
As the great drug
enforcement work of the officers of South Bloomfield are reflected in the "Narcotic Arrests and Photos" Section, this would only
be increased by the creation of a full time K9 unit, increasing not only our communities level of safety, but that of all
the communities in which the criminal element uses our highways to travel to.
